Plus, Cloud 9 Balconies bring health and wellness to your room. On September 7, 2015, Carnival Cruise Lines confirmed in a statement that the U.S. Coast Guard had been called to provide assistance to the ship due to an engine room fire.[10] The incident occurred while the ship was alongside in St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands.

We wandered through the Serenity area and past the aft pool deck, then wandered up to the mini-golf course. The ship seemed to be in good shape and ready to show us a great time. The port’s parking garage charges on a calendar-day schedule, not by the night. For instance, because our cruise was Monday through Friday, we had to pay $17 per day x 5 days. In addition to Circle C and Club O2 the ship's Dive-In Movies are often family friendly or appropriate for teens, as are the early comedy shows, though while they are rated PG are better suited for older teens. Camp Ocean provides Kids Only meals for all three groups (they're supervised, so don't worry about a food fight) every evening except the first evening from approximately 6 to 7 p.m., but times vary.
Carnival Liberty Itineraries
Unfortunately, I didn’t notice that this was available until I was already checking in for the cruise. They guarantee results in 24 hours, although in reality, it only took 45 minutes. It’s been quite a while since I’ve done a short Carnival cruise, and with the total price after taxes, gratuities, and fees coming to around $200 total, this was perfect. Western Caribbean cruises
Turn your special vacation in the direction of delicious — book a table for an unforgettably delectable evening at the Steakhouse. Our menu features mouthwatering premium cuts of beef cooked to your exact specifications, as well as a fantastic selection of seafood, entrées, gourmet appetizers and an extensive wine list. The atmosphere pairs remarkably well with — and perhaps even enhances — the culinary creations of our gourmet chefs. Make yourself at home in a variety of accommodations, all with comfortable furniture with light wood and generous storage space. The ship features a high percentage of oceanview staterooms and some with private balconies. Watch first-run movies on the TV from your super comfy bed.
There are six launderettes and ironing rooms available onboard. All laundry machines are coin-operated, and washing powder and other laundry supplies are available for purchase in the launderettes. Singles meet-ups at Alchemy, LGBT gatherings, Serenity Nights (a grown-up meet and greet in Serenity), Veterans group meetings, and late-night DJ parties are also on the schedule each sailing. Since we were usually anxious to get ashore and go exploring, we ate breakfast in the buffet-style Emile's Bistro. Although most of the other passengers also ate in Emile's for breakfast, the buffet lines were manageable; we never had to wait too long. Decks and Cabins
That’s something I’ve always loved about most staterooms I’ve encountered on cruise ships — the ability to put the luggage in a place that’s both convenient and out of the way, unlike most hotel rooms. If you’re wondering what a $10 per-night cruise fare will get you, it’s an inside cabin on deck two (room 2402). While I do love a balcony cabin because of my space issues, the inside worked fine for this particular trip because of my work schedule. On Deck 11 there are limited seating areas primarily because you are getting higher on the ship and there's less space available. What space there is is taken up with the sports deck and jogging track, but there are areas where you can get comfortable and lounge a while. When big production shows take the stage there are two shows nightly.

Golden Olympian is positioned in a central spot, but both offer the same menu. At dinner, vegetarian and low-carb fare is served, as well as Spa Carnival choices. Cuisine often exceeds expectations, especially at Harry's Supper Club and the complimentary Guy's Burger Joint, not to mention the fish-and-chips bar, sushi station and also the dining room, where all waiters sing and dance. The casual two-level Emile's buffet offers a number of food stations with a variety of choices, including a salad bar, deli, dessert station, daily regional cuisines.
Aft-View Extended Balcony
The Big Easy is one of the world’s most fascinating cities and a melting pot of culture, food and music. Bring the whole family for a sunny Bahamas cruise full of smiles, sandy beaches, and maybe a snorkel or two. You can’t go home from vacation looking like all you’ve done during your Carnival Liberty cruise is party (although, we won’t blame you if that’s what you indeed do). At The Punchliner Comedy Club, you’ll laugh yourself silly, and you can choose to attend a more PG-rated show, or something a little more risqué after dark. However, after just six years, Carnival decided to invest yet another $500 million into the ship, completely renovating it and bringing it up to FUN 2.0 standards. Originally built by Fincantieri in Italy, for a cost of $500 million, the ship was christened in July 2005, in Civitavecchia, Italy, by godmother and actress Mira Sorvino.
With more space for stretching out indoors, plus a large balcony for kicking back outdoors, try an Ocean Suite to experience private, luxurious relaxation. Ocean Suites also include VIP check-in, walk-in closet and bathroom with whirlpool tub. On the entertainment side of things, Carnival Liberty features two of our best, live on stage. First there's Playlist Productions™, where pros sing and dance their hearts out, performing high-energy themed revues of tunes you know, backed by amazing visual effects.
There are also chairs and lounge areas all along the outside of the ship on Decks 9, 10 and 11; most are one-row deep but some are two rows or one row of lounge chairs and a row of couches and chairs. Generally we had no difficulty finding a place for two of us to sit. Decks 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14 all have room for sunning yourself and enjoying the weather, but each deck and each space within each deck, has its own quirks.
There's also a gaming area as well as a dance-club type area. But it's not all lounging around and hanging out idly, there are organized games on the sports deck (basketball free throw competitions, volleyball, table tennis), dance parties, pool parties, karaoke and even theme parties. Theme parties happen in the evening (times vary) but include things like glow-in-the-dark parties and wacky outfit get-togethers. Teens taking part in Circle "C" must be registered, but they don't need to sign in or out as Carnival aims to provide them with a space where structured activities are balanced with teen independence. Activities go on every day of the sailing, and times vary; check the Fun Times newsletter and the Circle "C" activity schedule for specifics on your sailing.

With my test result, boarding pass, and luggage in hand, I headed down to Port Canaveral. Carnival Liberty was docked at Terminal 3, the new pier that was built for Carnival’s newest ship, Mardi Gras. This was the first sailing for which Carnival was rolling out $10 testing right there at the pier, so I could have gone that route.
You’ve heard of the proverbial “offer you can’t refuse,” right? Well, when I saw that I could jump on a four-night sailing of the Carnival Liberty for $10 a day — before taxes and gratuities — I had to jump on it. Kid-centric activities aboard Liberty include Camp Ocean, Seuss at Sea and other one-off activities. The fitness center is surprisingly large and surprisingly well outfitted.
